Softies for Mirabel

A few weeks ago, it was rainy, I was bored, so I decided to dust off the sewing machine and do something useful.

I follow a fabulous blog called Meet me at Mikes hosted by the energetic and very creative, Pip Lincolne.  Pip started Softies for Mirabel about 9 years ago and it is a toy drive for the children supported by the Mirabel Foundation.  This foundation specifically assists children who have been orphaned or abandoned by their parents due to drug use. So if you make a soft toy and send it off to the Mirabel Foundation they will ensure it goes to a good home with a child who very much needs all the love and care the community can give them.

The drive this year, is open until late January so if you are the crafty type then maybe you might like to get sewing too.  All details can be found here.

The pattern for the teddies is from here and the little rabbit is from here.
